We all have unforgettable moments in nature when we are captivated, and we halt suddenly to breathe it all in….the mood, nature's lavish design, perfect harmonies of colours and textures, the smell of the trees and undergrowth, the softness of the trail under our feet. My intent was to capture one of those moments. It made me pause in silent joy, surrounded by the pale golden hue and the mid-afternoon autumn warmth. It was intoxicating. Artist Bio – Marilyn Lybbert
Activist, conservationist, artist, Marilyn finds her inspiration ‘in the moment’ moving about in life. Having a deep appreciation of the outdoors from her childhood adventures, she says, “Everything good and sweet we need to survive and be happy comes from the earth; air, food, water, medicine, our general sense of well-being. It’s our responsibility to protect nature’s gifts and celebrate her beauty and tenacity.” She started mixing water and pigments 10 years ago on paper, exploring artistic possibilities and has moved on to working with other media as an expression of her true feelings and vision for society and man-kind.
